A New Day
As I mentioned last semester, unfortunately, Halftime get through our midsemester show, of our teams own volition. That means for the next semester, I’ll be on The Firing Squad, working on re[Mod], the on the fly weapon modification arena shooter, as an auxiliary programmer. I'm feeling good about the team as a whole, and the semester to come.
My first assignments, in order to get myself associated with the codebase and get into the swing of working on the new team, are to alter a few of the existing HUD elements in order to give better player feedback and gamefeel. Specifically, I'm to modify the hitmarkers, damage direction indicators, and add in a kill indicator, as these were all areas QA testing said were lacking in terms of effective feedback.
